But yes; for those who didn't already catch it, I've unveiled the first of my pet projects to tide everyone over until I get my drive to work on Battle Maniax again...

MY PROJECT; LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT IT
Because there just wasn't enough Chris in the series , the first is a series of shorts that are Chris-centric entitled "Vicious World" (which was ganked from the song of the same name by Rufus Wainwright, in case anyone is wondering). For those that recall, I wanted to delve into the slice-of-life genre--and go into some of my characters in a way that I couldn't with the Battle Maniax series. Some of the stories are light-hearted by nature (think "Autumn Hair", "Peppermint Mocha Kiss"), and others take on a darker tone--it just depends on the situation. Please bear in mind that the language will be just as strong, if not stronger than in "Battle Maniax", and some chapters will contain homoerotic themes. This will not be the last warning on the latter, but I am giving this heads up now so you know what you'll be getting yourselves into.

In case you're wondering, this isn't going to be how the series as a whole is going to appear--anyone who has read the extra stories I have posted at the website and anyone who purchased Sexy Sex knows that I like to dabble with different mediums, and this will be no exception. Some may be ink, some may be coloured in markers, some may be left in pencil, some may be digitally coloured...it depends on what I want to do with it. However, as I still feel that inking is not my strongest medium, there won't be as much of that going on.

RELEASE DATE
I don't really have a date for when I'll start posting this at the moment--I'm aiming for July 25th, the third anniversary, but I won't know for sure until early July. I'll continue to post sketches and illustrations as they're completed at vicious-violet.com, but in the meantime, please bear with me. I've been finding it difficult to find the motivation to work on my art, especially since I feel like I'm wasting my time...but that's irrelevant, so I'll move on...

STATUS OF BATTLE MANIAX SERIES
I don't really have any news, unfortunately. I'm still not motivated enough to want to work on the series again, and to be honest, I don't think I'll want to work on it again anytime soon. I know that's a bit of a drag for those of you who bothered to read it, but right now I still see it as a chore and don't feel ready to take it on again just yet. We'll see what happens over the next few weeks.

There are a few more sketches pertaining to 'Vicious World' on the site--you can check it out along with some notes at [link] :> I'll be posting another update later regarding my plans for changing the site around, and possibly begging someone to teach me how to make my website look less low-budget.
