Artist's Comments
I've decided that it's time to get back into working on comics. Problem is: I haven't drawn comics in 2+ years, so needless to say, I am so out of synch when it comes to sequential art. So, I've decided to try to get myself to work on comics. For now, I'm starting small with independent stories, i.e. one-shots. And what better way than by working on doujinshi, hey? So, here is a doujin, with a title that makes little sense! Actually, it makes SOME sense; it's an AU, it's about Kaiba, and "dot" just refers to the fact that he's a techno geek.
...oh, and it's the return of his Disco King outfit, if anyone who follows my work cares to know. Anyway, I did this in pencil, then scanned it onto my computer, then coloured this in Open Canvas 3 (as I often do) and then enhanced it...in Photoshop 7. Yup! I finally have 7  Basically, it's Kaiba just tossing aside his old DEATH-T outfit (yes; the pants look short, but if you check the DEATH-T arc, Kaiba wasn't quite so leggy). I quite like the overall result of the cover. I wanted to give it an "indie" look...I think I did a'ight. So right now, I'm trying to work on some doujin. I'd like to do some based on things not YGO as well...maybe Tekken? Or something around the Turks from FFVII? Or maybe Guilty Gear...aiya, motivation do not fail me now. We shall see. I need more sleep. |
