Lakeside Trio

Possibly one of my personal best works to date, this was inspired by the many road trips I took through the course of 2008. I had always wanted to make a nice tribute to summer, and wanting to avoid using the beach, I opted for a lake as that was the sort of view I found most inspiring on my trips.

It's Tuesday, so you guys know what time it is. :D

So to start things off, I need to make a correction regarding the Tekken movie and the apparent scene where Jin is making out with Christie--turns out, it's NOT Christie, but an original character named "Kara", who may or may not be a hooker. You are still nerdraging right now.

Anyway, with that out of the way, I've finally started work on some Tekken doujinshi, since I'm on a Tekken high, plus I really want to just draw comics all the time (I will talk about Vicious World in a future post). One of the problems I'm facing at the moment is this: as much as I'd like to make some dedicated story not unlike those manga that were released in the earlier days of Tekken, let's be honest: who the hell takes the story seriously anymore? I think whatever I had in mind for a full-lengther would be better off with original characters, and I'll simply create a few shorts. Unless, of course, you guys want something more dedicated! ;)

And speaking of art, here's what I have this week: a Lars Alexandersson speedpaint (since I needed to refamiliarise myself with Photoshop--it's been a month! D: ):

I'm sure most of us have seen the greatest trainwreck ever, the Tekken Anime. This is brought to us by the same guy that made the loltastic "Street Fighter Stupidity" videos. Y'all have likely seen it, but a second watch couldn't hurt! Or maybe it could...this IS the Tekken Anime. Thanks to ~Avenger41 for bringing this to my attention!

Not a prob! Just glad I could help out a little bit, and make my obsessive screencapping useful to someone.

I've been trying to think it over, and I have to admit, it's a tough decision! Not everyday I get a privilege like that, y'know?

The one constant that's been going through my head, though, is one of my three fave girls, Asuka (possibly in one of my custom outfits for her?), Videl, and Tatsuki (From Bleach) in some sort of triple threat of awesome. (If you need any reference pics of any of them, just let me know. I got truckloads!)

As for a pose... Totally up to you. You've got far better artistic vision than I do, so I trust your judgment!

Does that sound ok? If not, I can totally make changes and whatnot. Regardless, it's going to be awesome!

I'd say that's a fine choice as far as your request goes. I will need references for the lot; even though I have some Bleach material, it seems Tatsuki is just hard to come by. D:

I think I've got my fair share of ideas. I'm familiar enough with the characters that I can come up with something easily! :thumbsup:
